ANAAL NATHRAKH, RAGING SPEEDHORN, MALEFICE, MAN MUST DIE And SOULFRACTURE are the latest acts confirmed for the Damnation Festival 2007 (www.damnationfestival.co.uk) which is scheduled to take place at Leeds Metropolitan University in Leeds, England on Saturday, October 20th.
British black metallers, Anaal Nathrakh, will perform a one-off exclusive headline show on the Terrorizer Stage of the Damnation Festival to mark the release of their next album. Festival spokesman Gavin McInally had this to say about the acquisition of Anaal Nathrakh for the festival: "After three years of begging, bribing and going way past the point of harassment, the finest extreme band the UK has to offer will finally grace Damnation Festival, in the shape of the mighty Anaal Nathrakh. No stage is more fitting of a Terrorizer moniker and we’re delighted to have them on board as well as the best new extreme talent in Man Must Die and Soulfacture, also primed for the mayhem. The additions of Raging Speedhorn and Malefice to the Jagermeister Stage will again bring the best in British talent together for what is no doubt the biggest showcase of diverse heavy, homegrown talent in the UK this year.”
Malefice frontman Dale Butler responded with the following: "We've watched and admired Damnation grow in the underground over the past years. We all know its reputation as an amazing festival, run the way it should be by people that actually give a shit about the music. For these reasons we're honoured to have been asked to play this year and can't wait to show the Damnation punters what we can do live. ?See you in the pit!"
The full line-up for the festival is as follows: KREATOR, Anaal Nathrakh, AMEN, KATAKLYSM, ABORTED, ORANGE GOBLIN, 1349, Raging Speedhorn, PANIC CELL, NARCOSIS, DEVIL SOLD HIS SOUL, ROMEO MUST DIE, TED MAUL, LAZARUS BLACKSTAR, Man Must Die, Malefice and Soulfracture.
