Imhotep's Andreas Aubert has issued an interview with CATTLE DECAPITATION guitarist Josh Elmore, in which he discusses the band's anti-human message, their musical influences as well as how being in the band affects their overall life situations.

The following is an excerpt:

Q: You said you have an anti-human message. That is kind of similar to what other bands do, but it seems that you do it from a more conscious angle?

A: “Yeah, on our new album it is about the karmic kind of thing, a certain circle where we are doing all this horrible things to one another and to the earth, and the planet is going to cleanse itself. I am not the primary lyric writer, but for me personally that is how I perceive what we are about lyrically.”

Q: Do you offer any solutions, or?

A: “I think the way the main lyricist looks at it, his main solution is that when people are gone, everything will be better. It is not like a positive “lets work together” kind of thing, coexist peacefully with the natural world. It is always an option, but I think that in Death Metal aesthetics it works better with “we’re screwed” - that kind of way, more fatalistic.”
