Montreal’s THE AGONIST recently released their new album, Once Only Imagined, via Century Media. The band recently shot their first music video for the track 'Business Suits And Combat Boots' with renowned director David Brodsky (ALL THAT REMAINS, GWAR, THE RED CHORD). You can check out the video now on the band’s official MySpace page.

The Agonist kicked off the touring cycle for Once Only Imagined by supporting labelmates GOD FORBID, and will soon join EPICA and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS for select dates in September, leading them immediately into a month-long North American tour with Sonata Arctica. They will cap off the fall with shows alongside Enslaved and Overkill, further proving their ability to appeal to multiple genres while winning over any crowd they face.

Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz states: “The Agonist is thrilled to finally see our years of hard work coming together with the worldwide release of our debut album Once Only Imagined, the release of our first video and the start of our North American tours. We are anxious to get out on the road so we can start showing people what we are made of! Playing a total of 60 shows all over North America with fantastic acts like SONATA ARCTICA, OVERKILL and ENSLAVED is definitely an honor. We plan on working extremely hard to make our live show intriguing and captivating and aim to leave the audience wanting more, so I hope everyone who sees us appreciates our show and our music.

“The video for ‘Business Suits And Combat Boots’ turned out better than we ever expected. There was a nice balance of elements that we as a band had control over, and areas where David's creativity came into play. We think that it is visually beautiful, and along with the lyrics, makes for interesting visual interpretations. We have loaded the video with ‘portraits’ personifying certain social conflicts and hypocrisies I speak of in the lyrics. If the viewer isn't familiar with the lyrics, they may be confused by these vignettes, but we made them just subtle enough as to create questioning and hopefully encourage the viewer to pick up a copy of the album and read up on what the track is all about.”
