BW&BK Exclusive: SCARLET SINS Guitarist Uses ALEX LIFESON's Acoustic Gibson On Forthcoming Debut Album

In a recent interview with BW&BK;, SCARLET SINS guitarist Cristina Bishop revealed that she used RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson's acoustic Gibson guitar during the recording sessions for the band's self-titledf debut album. It is featured on the songs 'Let Go', 'With You' (now on MySpace), 'Broken' and 'Entre', the instrumental intro to 'No Arguments'.
Bishop comments: "As soon as I picked it up, I asked Rich (Chycki/producer) to teach me 'Closer To The Heart'. I never really played acoustic - I'm a classical guitar player - so it was tough on my fingers. That's when Rich taught me the vinegar trick; you soak your fingers at the end of the day and by the morning there are no blisters. Alex's guitar sounded beautiful. And of course, it was a Gibson..."
Producer Rich Chycki is known for his work with RUSH, AEROSMITH, and DREAM THEATER frontman James LaBrie.
As previously reported, Scarlet Sins are due to release their debut album in September. Their live schedule is currently as follows:
