Maniac's SKITLIV Confirms Dates For Tour With GALLHAMMER
August 26, 2007, 17 years ago
SKITLIV, the band headed by former MAYHEM vocalist Maniac, has confirmed the dates for the upcoming tour with Japanese all-girl band GALLHAMMER. Originally slated to join Gallhammer for four dates on their tour, an additional two dates have been added, in Belgium and the Netherlands. This will be the first time that both bands tour in Europe, and will give Gallhammer an opportunity to showcase their The Dawn Of… CD/DVD, which was recently released on Peaceville, whilst it will be the first time that Maniac hits the road since his departure from Mayhem in 2005.
Having taken time out to successfully resolve his past problems, Maniac is now back with his own band Skitliv, a Doom Black Metal project that is attracting considerable interest both from fans and the media. Canadian drummer Trish is currently in the process of adding drums to the band’s first album Glem Aldri Korset, which includes guest appearances by two of Black Metal’s leading figures: GORGOROTH vocalist Gaahl, and Mayhem vocalist Atilla, as well as SHINING front man and creator Niklas Kvarforth who is Skitliv’s recording guitarist, and is expected to occasionally play live with the band depending on his commitments with Shining.
