California-based band INVITRO (featuring ex-SNOT/SOULFLY guitarist Mike Doling) have posted a free download of the track 'Hollyvision' from their forthcoming debut album When I Was a Planet, through the band’s MySpace page at the following location www.myspace.com/invitrorules .

The track has become one of the most requested songs on Sirius Hard Attack and routinely charts right beside some of the biggest hitters in metal and hard rock.

"Hollyvision was the most trying and rewarding song to record on the record. The entire time we were writing it, I knew that I wanted it lyrically to deal with the affect that passive entertainment (TV) was having on people, and how it is the ruler of so many people’s free time," says Invitro frontman Jeff Weber. "The verses came out with ease, it gave me an opportunity to express my frustration with our TV driven culture, but when writing the chorus we fell into a slump trying to find the vibe. After taking a break the day we were recording it, it suddenly hit me that the chorus should create the same sensation as watching TV. In other words, it had to be numbing, hypnotic, and way happier than reality. It needed to be Ward Cleaver selling TV to the Wally and the Beaver. In the end, I think that it is one of everybody in the bands favorite tracks.”

Invitro has been leaving audiences stunned with their energetic live shows and quirky tin-foil costumes on tours with SEVENDUST, STATIC-X, HELLYEAH and Family Values.

"The Family Values Tour was a new experience for us as a band. Being out with such a diverse group of bands gave us an opportunity to reach a lot of fans we hadn't had the opportunity to play in front of before," says Weber. "In addition to meeting new fans, we also met all of the other amazing bands on the tour. Hanging out has been amazing. It's just like having an endless party being backstage with the bands. Barbecues, beer and whisky are everywhere. Music never stops, and each day promises at least one surprise. This tour has reaffirmed the fact that Invitro loves being on the road, and that we're not stopping anytime soon."

Live Nation has recently posted live clips of Invitro from a recent performance at The House of Blues in San Diego. The clips also contain a live version of the band performing Snot’s “Stoopid” at this location.

Invitro’s When I Was a Planet lands in stores September 11th, 2007 through Gridiron Records.
