According to NME.com, LED ZEPPELIN, THE WHO, JIMI HENDRIX and DAVID BOWIE appear in documentaries that are screening this weekend during Rock Doc: A Celebration Of Rock Documentaries in Los Angeles.

The American Cinematheque is sponsoring the series, which will screen at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.

Last night's (August 31) double-feature included D.A. Pennebaker's 1973 documentary Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars, which chronicles Bowie's final concert on the legendary Ziggy Stardust tour, and 1970's Led Zeppelin Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

On tap for today (September 1) are two legendary rockumentaries including director Michael Wadleigh's cut of the Oscar-winning 'Woodstock', featuring The Who, Hendrix and CROSBY, STILLS & NASH.

Also screening today is a newly restored version of Pennebaker's 'Monterey Pop', with performances from Janis Joplin, Hendrix and The Who.
