LED ZEPPELIN Ticket Site Goes Into Meltdown
September 12, 2007, 17 years ago
According to Gigwise.com, fans vying to get their hands on tickets for LED ZEPPELIN’s reunion show at the o2 Arena are finding it impossible to get through.
As reported earlier today here, to be in with a chance of going to the hottest gig of the year on November 26th, you have to enter a ballot on Ahmettribute.com.
Unfortunately – and as expected - the site has crashed due to the unprecedented levels of demand. The o2 Arena website has also crashed thanks to its high traffic flow.
Those fortunate enough to get through and register for the ballot, will be charged £125 per ticket if they are lucky enough to be selected. The one-off date is a tribute to to the co-founder of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun and will feature guest appearances from PETE TOWNSHEND and BILL WYMAN.
The last time the three surviving members - John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page - played together was at the Live Aid Concert in Philadelphia in 1985.
