Taking time-out from their infamous DIY-style thrash gigs around the UK, Merseyside crossover thrashers SSS (SHORT SHARP SHOCK) are gearing up to deliver their sound to the 5,000 capacity Brixton Academy on October 3rd. SSS are set to support US metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE on the UK date of their forthcoming European tour and SSS frontman Foxy has spoken out about the significance of the date for the band and the thrash genre:

"Setting foot on the Brixton Academy stage will be the biggest gig SSS has played to date. we cant wait to let loose the thrash beast onto the capital city."

This gig will give SSS the opportunity to showcase their thrash sound to a completely fresh crowd, who are sure to be subjected to the raucous and energetic on-stage antics that they have been delivering to thrash fans at recent gigs, following the release of Short Sharp Shock in June. However, quick to show that they stick to their underground roots that they know and love, fans can catch SSS at a string-of small venue gigs in the UK on the following dates:

October

4 - Wigan, England at The Tavern
5 - Birmingham, England at The Market Tavern
13 - London, England at Old Blue Last
14 - Liverpool, England at The Barfly

November

15 - Manchester, England at Satans Hollow (with Onslaught)

January

12 - Liverpool, England at The Barfly (with Orange Goblin)
