FROSTMOON ECLIPSE’s Claudio Alcara Releases Acoustic Album; Audio Available

Songs Of Remorse, the first album from STROSZEK, saw it's release this week on the Canadian God Is Myth label. The band is FROSTMOON ECLIPSE guitarist and founder Claudio Alcara’s personal project, and the melodic, acoustic work is far removed from the Black Metal he is more usually associated with. Together with Claudio himself on guitars and vocals, the album also features fellow Frostmoon Eclipse members Richard on drums and Davide on bass.
Stroszek is something that Claudio had in mind for some time, and he prefers to see it not so much as a side project, but rather as something totally set apart from his work with Frostmoon Eclipse; a band that intersperses Old School Black Metal with touches of lyrical acoustic guitar. Songs Of Remorse is an introspective journey into what Claudio calls “Your own life’s failures made music”, and allows him to use his distinctive guitar style in a purely acoustic setting.
This has been a particularly busy year for the guitarist. As well as Stroszek and Frostmoon Eclipse, whose latest album “Another Face Of Hell” has just been released, he is currently preparing material for a Stroszek split release with the US Psychedelic band GODHEADSCOPE, the solo project of Matt Rosin (CINDERVOICE, DEAD RAVEN CHOIR); and is awaiting the release of “Humanity Needs No Funeral” from AERE AETERNUS, the French Ambient band which, aside from Claudio, includes members of DARK SANCTUARY and MACABRE OMEN.
Three tracks from “Songs of Remorse” can be heard on the official Stroszek MySpace page.
