NIGHTWISH - Dark Passion Play Sells 42,000 Copies First Day In Finland!

According to their website, NIGHTWISH's new album Dark Passion Play was released today (September 26th) in Finland, "and has already sold 42,000 copies which means much more than platinum (which is 30,000)."
As reported earlier today, Nightwish have announced 28 new European tour dates in support of their new album, Dark Passion Play. Go to this location for the complete updated schedule. Fans should note that the December 1st ahow Sentrum Scene in Oslo, Norway and the December 16th show at Karibia in Turku, Finland are sold out.
Dark Passion Play will be released by Roadrunner in North America on Tuesday, October 2nd. This album will be released in two configurations - the single-disc standard version and 2-CD Special Edition which will contain one bonus track on the first disc and a second CD comprised of orchestral versions of every song on the album.
