MelodicRock Fest - Final Show Update Announced
October 1, 2007, 17 years ago
Melodicrock.com's Andrew McNeice has issued the following update in regards to MelodicRock Fest, scheduled for Saturday, October 6th at Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend, Indiana.
"The MelodicRockFest page has been updated with final show details; new set times and running lengths; and fresh new prizes on offer in the Mega-Raffle - including guitar signed by Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain of JOURNEY, as donated by Envision Radio Networks; a series of fabulous books by author Martin Popoff (BW&BK; Norway swag and more goodies!!I must again comment about the withdrawal of HAREM SCAREM and the eventual decision not to replace the band with another act.
I made several attempts to get a replacement, but at such a late stage, those contacted simply could not make it happen on such short notice or were otherwise engaged. I believe the newly extended set times and longer breaks between sets will allow for a slightly less frantic pace for the show and perhaps in the end, a more enjoyable day for all attending.
Please read the show update for details.
I can announce details of the opening act for the day. For want of a better name - THE MELODICROCK ALL-STARS! So new to each other they haven't even got a name. In fact, they may never have name as their sole purpose in life is to gather for this one occasion to give this show a fitting kick-off with a 40 minute set of tunes you might be familiar with!
In this fabulous band will be: Vocalist Michael Eden (Eden's Curse) / Keyboardist Eric Ragno (Ted Poley, China Blue, American Angel) / Drummer John Parker (Talon) / Guitarist Vic Rivera (Adriangale, Crunch, Poley Rivera). How about that for a line up? [Will confirm bassist shortly...]."
