HANKER - Sneak Peak At New Album
October 2, 2007, 17 years ago
The webmaster for Quebec-based metallers HANKER has sent BW&BK; the following sneak preview of the band's new album:
"I just had the immense privilege of hearing Hanker play their entire upcoming CD live in their rehearsal room this week! This fifth studio album is the first one with bassist Laurent Imbeau and drummer Sylvain Trembley. My first thought is that, having been a Hanker fan since their first album in 1994, I can certify that this will be a pure traditional Hanker release. The two new members have really integrated very well with the rest of the band. All the Hanker elements that we dig so much are there; great melodies, dual guitar harmonies, double kicks, Pascal's high screams, heavy riffs, excellent lead guitar breaks and some remarkable twists and turns. Some elements remind me of their first album In Our World. I am really pleased with what I heard; this is going to be a great, solid metal CD. There will be 12 tracks and the entire album will be one hour in length! Hanker will hit the studio at the beginning of November and the album will be released in the first half of 2008. More details coming soon."
