Canadian experimental/noise duo NADJA will see their sophomore album Skin Turns To Glass reissued in North America via Unruly Sounds/The End Records in early 2008.

The band - Aidan Baker (guitars, vocals, woodwinds, drum machines) and Leah Buckareff (bass, vocals) - will enter Baker's home studio in January to re-record (and re-arrange as needed) their second album, originally released in a limited edition CD-R run on Belgium's Nothingness Records. The album will also feature a yet-untitled ambient track.

About the re-recording of the album, Baker comments: "The songs are basically all written. We want to just expand the sound, re-do the drums and just give it more body and life."

The band plans to take time off from the road to work on the album, before starting up again in early 2008 to promote the reissue.

Skin Turns To Glass tracklisting: 'Sandskin', 'Skin Turns To Glass', 'Slow Loss', 'Untitled'.

Nadja are currently based in Toronto, Canada. The group came to life in 2003 as a solo project of experimental/ambient musician & writer Aidan Baker as something of a flipside to his solo material; a means of exploring the darker, noisier, and heavier side of atmospheric and experimental music.

Buckareff joined the group in late 2004 to make the project more than just a studio endeavour. Together, the duo combines dirge-like metal riffs and heavy, minimal percussion with ethereal melodicism and something of a shoegazer asthetic, creating a swirling, amorphous wall of sound that strives to be both obliterating and uplifting. Nadja has released several cds and records on such labels as Conspiracy Records, Crucial Blast, Alien8 Recordings, and Archive Records. They have toured extensively in North America and Europe, sharing the stage with such artists as KHANATE, ISIS, KAYO DOT, FRANCISCO LOPEZ and TROUM.
