Both ARCH ENEMY and DOWN have cracked the Billboard Top 200 Chart.
Arch Enemy's new album, Rise Of The Tyrant, landed at #84. This surpasses their Doomsday Machine chart entry, making it the band’s highest charting effort yet.
Guitarist Mike Amott comments: “It's amazing for an extreme metal band from Sweden to have such a strong debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart and we wanted to thank all of our fans for their undying support over the years. This is also a further testament to all of our non-stop touring and dedication to the U.S. territory and we are ecstatic to see all of that hard work payoff. We hope to see you all soon.”
Arch Enemy is currently in the midst of The Black Tyranny Tour, a massive co-headlining North American trek with MACHINE HEAD, which also features THROWDOWN and SANCTITY in the support slots.
Meanwhile, Down's new album, Down III - Over The Under, entered the Billboard Top 200 at #26. This is a career best debut for the band as 29,214 copies were sold within the first week of release.
The New Orleans natives are currently on the road in support of Over The Under. Down will spend the rest of 2007 headlining dates in North America with an international run set to begin in 2008.
