DEEP PURPLE - Live In London To Be Issued On Vinyl
October 4, 2007, 17 years ago
DEEP PURPLE fan-site Deep-purple.net has issued the following update:
"Live In London is now due to go ahead as a vinyl release. This new vinyl pressing is a double album with the complete show, has been fully restored from the broadcast tapes by EMI at Abbey Road in London, and is being issued under exclusive license from EMI in a very limited edition. This comprises a double album 180 gsm virgin vinyl German pressing, with special labels and inner bags, in a gatefold sleeve. Limited to 1,500 copies worldwide, copies will be distributed to retail outlets in Europe (by Soulfood) and the UK (by Pinnacle), but the best way to ensure a copy is by pre-ordering through dpas online which will also ensure shipping ahead of street date. We expect finished copies in October / early November and the price is £21.99 UK / £25.75 Europe / £29.99 Rest of World (USA, Japan etc). Prices include post & packing, which is not cheap (it now costs over £10 / $20 to send vinyl outside Europe). Albums will be mailed in cardboard cruciform packets designed especially for shipping vinyl, with extra card packing inside. A computer generated image of the album is pictured left. It was only pressure from fans on this site that enabled us to get Burn done on vinyl, now to be followed by Live In London!"
