As previously reported, the Hard Rock Park, which organizers call the world’s first rock ’n’ roll theme park, is scheduled to open in May in Myrtle Beach, S.C. On October 22nd the season pass will be available for $150 US.

The centerpiece will be LED ZEPPELIN - The Ride, a 155-foot-tall steel roller coaster. Jimmy Page named the ride himself and picked the song “Whole Lotta Love” to be played as riders hurl through six loops and rolls at speeds of up to 65 m.p.h.

The 140-acre park will have more than 40 attractions, including four other coasters — one, Midnight Rider, dedicated to Southern rock, will run inside a building styled as a haunted old sawmill. There will also be a stunt show, a hip-hop-themed midway, a country ice show, a Pinball Wizard arcade and an amphitheater.

The website www.hardrockpark.com/ will be available soon.
