Kisskollector.com has issued the following update:

"Issue 59 of KISS Kollector magazine is still in the works, and since the issue is delayed it will be a double issue to make up for lost time. Issue 59/60 will be jam-packed as usual with great stories, interviews, never before seen photos, etc. We’ll have an update about the contents as soon as possible, but first we have to make some sort of statement. Due to our very, very busy schedule it’s no longer possible to update KISS Kollector Online each and every day or bring out four issues a year of our glossy magazine as we’ve been doing over the last 15 years. For a very long time we managed to combine a busy day time job with running the fan-club, publishing the magazine and working on the website too. Which is kind of having two or three jobs all at once. It’s a lot of work, and it’s hard work, but it has always been a lot of fun. The only setback was that there hardly was any time to sleep or much time for a social life.

During the first 15 years of running the KISS Kollector Fanclub we were able to do a lot of work for the fanclub (whether it was putting together the issues of the magazine, organizing KISS Expos, answering all the fan-mail, updating the site, etc. etc. etc.) at night and in the weekends – in between the day time job, so to speak. But now in our 16th year, that’s no longer possible - and to be honest, that’s also because of health issues. We’ve lined up some hospital sessions in November and December, as working day and night for so many years has either caused or intensified some sort of insomnia, along with all the shit that comes with it and which turns out to be not that good for your brain and health to put it mildly. So, working at night to get a new issue of the magazine ready, or to work on daily updates for site can no longer be the ‘rule’ but as of this year it’s the ‘exception’ (as sometimes it still happened over the last many months, and without a doubt, from time to time it still will happen in the future – every now and then you’ll still find us working on fanclub related stuff at night). But most of it has to be taken care of in the weekends, as that’s pretty much the only time left next to a wonderful, but very time consuming day time job.

Maybe issue 59/60 won’t be the only double issue we’ll bring out from now on, as maybe we’ll be doing that more often since four issues a year might not be possible anymore. But of course all you members out there (and obviously that includes the new members that joined over the last few months – thanks for your continued support!) will still get four issues for your membership fee."
