Chillicothe, Ohio-based WOE OF TYRANTS have inked a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records, who will be releasing their new album in 2008. The band's latest album, Behold The Lion, is out now via Tribunal Records.

According to a press release, Woe Of Tyrants are "comprised of five long haired dudes who love to play metal as it was back in 1988, fast, furious and ucking heavy. If you love the vintage sounds of TESTAMENT, EXODUS, METALLICA, MEGADETH, DARK ANGEL and even the lesser known gods – HOLY TERROR - then you are going to love what Woe Of Tyrants are doing in 2007. With a modern attack that is reminiscent to LAMB OF GOD and SHADOWS FALL but still maintaining the classics sounds of their metal forefathers Woe Of Tyrants is ready to educate and introduce current scenesters to what real metal is all about."

About the signing the band comments: "We are extremely excited about working with Metal Blade and feel that we have a lot to offer the label and more importantly the heavy metal community all together. We feel Metal blade has our best interests at heart as they've shown their dedication to their artists and fans by releasing some of the best metal in the world for decades. We have always stuck with our guns when writing and performing our music, refusing to give into any of the trends or clichés that pop-up in the heavy music genre and are very thankful that Metal Blade has not let this go unnoticed. We are prepared to unleash the best and most crushing material we've written thus far and hope to reach as many people possible with our music. We are blessed to have such an opportunity. Keep a lookout for our debut, and lots of touring, this is only the beginning!"
