MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx will head out on the road in early February with his new side project, SIXX: A.M.. According to Harddrive Radio, a tour will begin on February 1st, although dates, cities and other acts on the bill have yet to be finalized. Sixx: A.M. will be touring in support of its "soundtrack" album to Sixx's recently published book, The Heroin Diaries: A Year In The Life Of A Shattered Rock Star.

The group's only live show so far took place on October 25th as part of a Halloween-themed radio festival in West Valley City, Utah.

Sixx initially told us that he was reluctant to go on tour with Sixx A.M.: "There's really been some very cool bands throughout history that have made amazing music and haven't always toured. I don't know whether we'll tour or we'll do shows or what. This band is really talented. We can do acoustic shows, we can do special events, but to actually go out and tour it, I don't know. I'm open, but I don't know."

Twenty-five percent of Sixx's royalties from The Heroin Diaries goes to Running Wild In The Night, a charity he established in conjunction with Covenant House to rescue homeless and runaway youth from the streets.

Sixx recorded the album with fellow musicians James Michael and D.J. Ashba.
