The following brief update has been posted at former MEGADETH guitarist JEFF YOUNG's MySpace page:

A message from Jeff:

"Hey everyone,

Since a majority of my time these days is spent playing nylon-string classic & flamenco guitars, i've decided to part with my most precious amplifier pieces. A part of me didn't want to let go of these items, many of which have been with me through important recordings and performances. However, after much reflection, i've come to the following conclusion: if you own something, store it, never use it - it's probably time to pass it on to someone who WILL use it.

This gear is FAR SUPERIOR to what I used on Megadeth's So Far, So Good So What! album. To this day, I regret that I didn't have these pieces when recording my tracks for that album. However, I did use the equipment in question for rhythms and leads on all the Young/Holiday studio tracks on my Lost Tracks MySpace profile page. GEAR FOR SALE:

1) Customized Bogner Triple Giant (3-channel) Pre Amp.

Before Reinhold Bogner became the amp luminary he is today, he "hand-made" each of his amps out a shop in the back of Andy Brauer's Studio Rentals in North Hollywood. I met him there and commissioned him to build me this customized Triple Giant pre-amp. This pre-amp is NOT to be confused with the Hafler version of the Triple Giant. This pre-amp was handmade by Bogner himself and I was told that it is the 9th one he ever made after moving to the U.S.

The difference between this and other 3Gs of the early 90s era is that my custom version has 3 channels as follows: 1) BROWN (early Van Halen plexi tone) 2) *STRATO (Fender ala Stevie Ray) 3) Country (clean). *The normal 3G second channel is called SHARP. I had Bogner modify this channel for a more SRV/Eric Johnson Fender type tone.

This is, hands down, the BEST pre-amp i've ever experienced, a magical world-class piece of gear.

2) Mike Morin Custom Pre-Amp

In the late 80s and from the hands of Mike came the most awesome sounding Marshalls I've ever heard. This pre-amp is has an amazing "plexi" tone, very buttery. Perfect for legato stuff ala Holdsworth, Poland, Henderson etc.

Photos provided upon request. I am PayPal verified. World-wide shipping and handling will vary by zip code. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Thanks in advance for you consideration.

Best, Jeff."
