BW&BK; is mourning the loss of our dear friend Ray "Black Metal" Wallace. Toronto music publicist Paula Danylevich, who has been posting daily updates on his condition since he suffered a brain aneurysm on November 15th, has issued the following update regarding funeral arrangements:

"Friends,

On Saturday December 1st at 2PM, Ray's funeral service will be held at Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East. Viewings will be held this Thursday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm and on Friday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

Ray's family are looking for friends who will act as "greeters" for the viewings, so anyone who would like to be a greeter for any of the viewings, please contact me immediately by emailing me at gr8pr@aol.com

There are a few other things I need your help with. Ray's family has asked I collect as many photos of Ray as possible which will be used for a poster board which will sit next to his coffin, and will be given to Mrs. Wallace after the service in memory of her son. I need EVERYONE who has photos of Ray to email me high resolution versions of these photos to me asap. Please email them to hypemusic@rogers.com by Wednesday at 10pm. The poster printing needs to be done by Thursday. One of the photos posted here (the one of Ray on the stage with is arms up) is of particular interest as the family wants to use it for another special part of the funeral. Whoever has that photo please email it asap

You will be happy to know many of Ray's friends contributed to planning the service, and I can assure you this will be a very non-traditional and non-religious service which will be exactly what Ray wanted. Eight of Ray's friends have been invited to speak at the service, and music will be a very big part of this funeral. Metal Music! Loud Metal Music.... so Ray will have a send off like no other!!!!

A wake will follow the funeral, I will post details of the wake tomorrow."
