GENE SIMMONS is the most famous person on The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition. It's not even close. If you lined up every person (I'm refusing to used the word "celebrity" with this group because, you know, it implies fame) competing on The Celebrity Apprentice and asked a normal person who didn't belong, they'd almost certainly answer Gene Simmons, because he's famous. Simmons is a rock star, and has been for decades. He and his band KISS sold tens of millions of records, performed to sold out arenas worldwide, are considered by some (mostly Chuck Klosterman) to be one of the pre-eminent rock bands of the '70s and '80s.
There are Gene Simmons action figures. There was a famous movie (Detroit Rock City) made about going to a Kiss concert. Gene Simmons is married to the most famous Skinemax actress of all-time (Shannon Tweed). Why, then, is he participating on Celebrity Apprentice?
