WEDNESDAY 13 - "My Musical Style Is All Over The Place...Give It A Name"

December 18, 2007, 16 years ago

hot flashes news wednesday

Former MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 recently spoke to VampireFreaks.com about his solo career. The following is an excerpt from the interview:

Q: You've been in the music scene for a while now and you've got a huge fanbase. How long have you been performing music, and when, as well as where, did your career in music begin? What made you become a artist? Also, in what genre of music would you place yourself?

13: "I began learning guitar at age 13, ironically. I played my first live show at my high school at age 15 with some guys I knew from school. After seeing KISS and Alice Cooper and just the whole rebellion and imagery of that kinda rock n' roll I knew I had to do this. My musical style is all over the place and I leave that up to the listener. Some hear punk, some metal, some rock, maybe all together something different, I don't know..it's whatever you hear...give it a name. The image sometimes automatically assumes the goth thing but its way more and beyond that."

Q: Wednesday 13 has become pretty popular, most of it is fans that have followed you guys since the begginning. Do you think the size of it has grown, or stayed about the same since The Murderdolls?

13: "It's changed a lot over the years for sure. Some fans have stayed, some are long gone, but their are new ones popping up every year too. I feel like our status in the USA is growing way more than the Murderdolls, but I can only say that because Murderdolls did minimal touring in the USA."
