BW&BK Exclusive : GAMMA RAY - Long Awaited Live DVD To See 2008 Release; New Footage To Be Included

In a recent interview with BW&BK; about GAMMA RAY's new album, Land Of The Free II, guitarist/vocalist Kai Hansen shed some light on the release of the band's long delayed live DVD, Hell Yeah! The Awesome Foursome (And The Finnish Keyboarder Who Didn't Want To Wear His Donald Duck Costume) - Live In Montreal. During the interview, which will be featured in BW&BK; #109, we made the logical assumption that Gamma Ray's new label, SPV, would issue the DVD in 2008:
“That’s the plan," affirms Hansen. "There was a delay in the production, sorting out the material and especially the bonus stuff, so that put us back a bit. When it was ready there was that turmoil with (former label) Sanctuary, so it was clear at that point the DVD wouldn’t be released before this album. In fact, Sanctuary wasn’t even able to put this album out so they let us go. SPV will release the DVD next year, and the good news is that it’ll be upgraded with footage and material from this tour with HELLOWEEN."
