"THE GATES OF SLUMBER and Emissary Records are proud to announce the partnership in which TGoS’s debut album, The Awakening, will finally be re-issued! The Awakening, which was originally released in February 2004 on Belgium’s now defunct Final Chapter Records has been out of print for the last two years. The album features the live favorites ‘Broken On The Wheel’ and ‘The Jury’. This new version is a remastered edition that includes a bonus track ('The Cloaked Figure') which was recorded during the original studio session, a totally new cover artwork done by Ken Kelly (KISS, RAINBOW, MANOWAR, and also TGoS second album Suffer No Guilt).It will also come with a DVD featuring live footage taken from Doom Shall Rise III, London and other hot spots around the globe featuring the line up from that album. This is a must have for all those who praise real Doom Metal!

2008 is shaping up to be a major year in The Gates Of Slumber's camp. Now only will the re-issue of their first album will come to be, but during May of 2008 will see the release of their third album, Conqueror (via I Hate in the EU and Profound Lore in North America), which will have Sanford Parker (BIBLE OF THE DEVIL, LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR, NACHMYSTIUM) at the helm."
