GATES OF WINTER Release Debut Album

Northern Ontario's GATES OF WINTER have sent BW&BK; the following update:
"The time has arrived for us to finally release our debut album Lux Aeterna. Foremost, thank you to sites like this that have posted our news and allowed us to reach out to friends and fans globally. Our torrent that we posted a few weeks back has had thousands of downloads and in turn we have had the opportunity to meet some killer people!I know from a reader's perspective they are going to think 'who the fuck is Gates of Winter and why should we care'. Well in our network of bands in Ontario and Quebec - we're the odd ones out usually due to our high energy live performance and our brand of music. This album has been in production for nearly two years and features fifty minutes of symphonic, melodic metal with much progressive overtone. The songs (six of which can be heard at www.myspace.com/gatesofwinter) on the album are all very personal and act like a window into our lives. We have had the pleasure of receiving emails from random people with their song interpretations - as an artist, being able to connect with someone offers the most gratification.
We will be on tour in August 2008 from Ontario to the East Coast of Canada."
