As previously reported, German metallers ATROCITY are counting down to the release their new cover album, Werk 80 II, due out on February 8th in Europe and March 4th in North America via Napalm Records. Click here to hear a sample of their cover of A-HA's 'The Sun Always Shines On TV'.

Frontman Alex Krull comments: "It was clear that we will do a song from A-Ha this time. It was the number-one band from Norway, and so I probably would have a lot of trouble with Liv if we ignored her countrymen! To be honest, the song just fits very well to us and our idea to make an Atrocity song out of an '80s pop song. It was also a good choice for our cooperation with the orchestra and the choir. We just think about doing a video-clip for that song.”

So we will hear your wife Liv Kristine on 'The Sun Always Shines On TV' - is she also singing in other songs, as well?

Alex: ”Yes, that’s right. Liv is with us on 'The Sun Always Shines On TV'. It was some kind of natural that she could join us on vocals for that song. On the first Werk 80 it was well received that Liv was taking part on songs like 'Shout,' and why shouldn’t we do it again? She is doing some guestvocals on some songs, and I think we all had some fun recording it."

The first online single from Werk 80 II is 'Smalltown Boy' (BRONSKI BEAT), which will be available as of January 11th.

The tracklist for Werk 80 II is as follows: 'People Are People' (DEPECHE MODE), 'Smalltown Boy' (BRONSKI BEAT), 'Relax' (FRANKIE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD), 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' (SIMPLE MINDS), 'The Sun Always Shines On TV' (A-Ha), 'Hey Little Girl' (ICEHOUSE), 'Fade To Grey' (VISAGE), 'Such A Shame' (TALK TALK), 'Keine Heimat' (IDEAL), 'Here Comes The Rain Again' (EURYTHMICS), 'Forever Young' (ALPHAVILLE), Special Edition bonus track: 'Feels Like Heaven' (FICTION FACTORY).
