According to Seattlepi.com, The Experience Music Project And Science Fiction Museum And Hall Of Fame are rolling out two new exhibitions on Jimi Hendrix.

Both exhibitions will be located at the No Wasted Notes Gallery on the museum's second level, where the original Hendrix exhibition was housed.

What's unusual about the first Hendrix exhibition, opening January 26, is that fans will be encouraged to share their thoughts about the Seattle rock god by literally writing comments on a blank wall. Those thoughts will help shape future exhibits on Hendrix.

Message To Love, continuing through April 6, features only two iconic Hendrix artifacts, his Woodstock Fender Stratocaster and a Gibson Les Paul guitar that he played in 1963. The remaining exhibition space will be a blank slate for fans.

The second exhibition, Jimi Hendrix: An Evolution Of Sound, opens April 26 and continues through February 7, 2010. Evolution focuses on Hendrix's influence on popular music and on his unique talents and innovative sound.

The exhibition includes a display of guitars from EMP/SFM collection, a musical and cultural timeline of Hendrix's career (from his early days on the Seattle scene to Swinging London), an interactive area demonstrating the use of sound effects and recording technology, and a Play On Theater where guests can view Hendrix films and performance footage.
