Canadian gothic metallers HOWLING SYN have issued the following band update:

"Howling Syn has decided to take a break for a while. After almost ten years and some line-up changes, we think it’s best for us to explore new stuff and recharge our artistic batteries. Personally, I will now concentrate more on my new passion that is photography. For those who don’t know, I’ve been doing concert and model photography for about two years now and I really enjoy it a lot! You can see my work this location .

In early 2007 we recorded our third album, A Taste Of Modern Evil. On February 13, 2008 we will release it exclusively on the Internet at a very reasonable price. More details will be announced soon. In the meantime, we’ve added for full songs and two samples from the new album on our MySpace page. We have worked hard on this album and felt it would be wrong to take this break without giving our fans the chance to hear it.

So let me thank you all for your support over the years!

I also want to thank all the collaborators who worked on the album: Éric Mireault (drums), JF Burman (guitars on a few songs), Maggy Durand (CRYPTOPSY, synth arrangements), Jean-Marc Pisapia (THE BOX, guest vocals), Gaby Koss (ex-HAGGARD, guest vocals), Francis Perron (Studio Radicart), Pierre Rémillard (mastering) and Tommy Genest (graphic design)."
