Year Of The Sun Records reports:

Canadian progressive-metal newcomers WHAT'S HE BUILDING IN THERE (WHBIT), have announced more dates in support of their self-titled debut album, which was released earlier this year on Year Of The Sun Records. The band will hit the road in late January with Metal Blade recording artists EPICUREAN for a string of tour dates.

"We're getting tingly feelings in our bathing-suit areas just thinking about playing with Epicurean," howls philanthropist and WHBIT drummer, Liam Epps. "Seeing them perform those songs on stage night after night will be as euphoric and inspiring as realizing that it was just a wet one, and that you, in fact, did not poop your pants."

In keeping with the haunting Tom Waits composition that spawned their name, What’s He Building In There are a deranged group of genre-bending musical madness. Drawing influences from the contrasting worlds of Mike Patton, Tool, Between the Buried and Me, Frank Zappa and many other innovators, the band has synthesized their many facets into one gripping and demented masterpiece. What’s He Building In There hail from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

The band has also revealed a new video for their single 'Avian Taxi', taken from their Year Of The Sun debut. The video was shot after hours at KidZone Family Fun Center, Canada’s largest indoor playground, with members of What’s He Building In There donning a wide range of costumes (including a lobster, turtle, tree gecko, chicken, and a psychotic carnival host) as part of the video’s psychedelic dream-like concept. The video can be viewed below...

Minneapolis-based symphonic metal band Epicurean will release their debut album, A Consequence Of Design, on May 4th through Metal Blade Records. Formed in early 2004, Epicurean quickly gained the attention in the Minneapolis metal scene and developed a reputation for being a powerful and unpredictable live act. The buzz about the band caught the ear of Metal Blade Records who quickly signed the band and put them out on the road with Finnish metallers TO/DIE/FOR.
