BW&BK; has received the following press release directly from MaidenNorway.com:

Maiden Norway invites yet again to the charity concert CliveAid, which this year is being headlined by former IRON MAIDEN frontman Blaze Bayley.

Saturday 29th of March will not only Maiden fans enjoy the music, we’re also proud to announce British trash from Martin Walkyier, singer in legendary UK trashers SABBAT. Local metal band OCTAVIA SPERATI and pin-up rockers THE BETTIES help this year's Cliveaid line-up to be strong as ever. The organizers promises a big surprise for the hardcore Iron Maiden fans.

”The mix of bands is very good, and we promise the audience at Garage will have an evening they’ll never forget,” says Frode Kilvik of Maiden Norway. “Blaze Bayley fronted Iron Maiden during the mid '90s with the releases The X Factor and Virtual XI. After Iron Maiden he created a new career as a solo artist. He released two albums under Blaze, but now he is using his full name, and is currently recording a third album. The audience can expect to hear songs from Blaze Bayley’s entire backlog, which include WOLFSBANE, Iron Maiden, and BLAZE.”

For those who missed Sabbat’s unforgettable performance during last years Hole In The Sky will now get a new chance; Sabbat’s frontman Martin Walkyier spellbound the audience of Hole In The Sky, and now he returns with a handful of Sabbat classics which is selected special for this evening. On the top of this we’re lucky to have the girls of Octavia Sperati. Octavia Sperati recently toured the UK, and they’re hungry for a real party at the Garage. It’s been a while since we saw the girls on their home turf, so this will be very special,” says Pål Johansen of Maiden Norway. “We’re also excited about having the pin-up rockers The Betties. They will open the show, with legs n’ tits, what’s to be expected from a Rock N’ Roll show.”

”To the hard core of Maiden fans in Norway, we’re proud to introduce Mr. Dave Lights. This man have been an important piece in Iron Maiden’s history, and will do a 'meet-n-greet' this evening,” says Frode Kilvik.

Tickets are already on sale at Apollon (+47 55 31 59 43)

About CliveAid:

CliveAid is about supporting research on Multiple Sclerosis and teenage cancer. Money raised from the show will be donated to these causes. Last year, CliveAid resulted in a 5 digit donation to Haukeland Universitetssykehus. The artists that made it possible, was Krakòw, Cruel, Bourbon Flame, The Batallion and SAHG.

CliveAid was founded in 2004 as an onetime gig to raise money for the original Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr, who is suffering from MS. The idea was to help Clive to a better life, and also to show him how much he means to the Rock world. The gig went beyond what anyone had imagined, and it was soon discovered that many, many more could be helped by the support and giving mindset of the Metal community.
