hot flashes news megadeth

MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the band's Forum:

Droogies!

I have got to tell you what has happened in the last week. Friday was the NAMM show and I made an appearance at the DEAN booth saw my endorsor's Elliot Rubinson and Dean Zelinsky, and hopefully the fans and the DEAN folks got what they wanted. I know a lot of you got to see it here on the live DEAN Webcast. Sorry, I didn't tell you, but I wasn't aware that it was going to be aired here too.

On Saturday I went back with my wife Pam and son Justis, and we wrapped up things for DEAN and NAMM this year, and zipped back out and headed home. I decided that next year, I may just come down a day early and look around; I don't want to miss the chance to talk to the many other endorsors I have, and also some new ones I would to check out.

However, I am happy and quite content with my relationship with DEAN, I hold dear my friendship with the company and will only be signing in their booth next year, as usual. And any day now the Ddrums are coming to my house, which DEAN'S mother company 'Armadillo' owns. Thanks to Josh, my guitar guy for helping Kevin, Shawn's drum guy send out some stuff for us to prepare the songs for you.

Anyway, to my endorsors whom I did not get a chance to stop by, I love you and I will be in touch to catch up, and go over this exciting year for Megadeth.

Next . . .

We started rehearsals with all four band members at my house on Monday, and finished up last night about 10PM. I can unequivocally say that we are ready with all of the guitars, bass, and drums. The solos are better than they have ever been by any guitarist since Jeff (he was the first to have to try to sound like a predecessor). Unless I can't remember the lyrics, there isn't going to even be a hiccup in our show.

And I have to say that Chris (Broderick) smokes on guitar!!! Glen (Drover) sounded similar to Chris Poland, but Chris sounds like Marty Friedman and since we play more songs with the MF years, you are going to no doubt enjoy this more now. We have all of the 17 songs we played in Australia on the first night and two others songs. I feel as the bands leader, that they are tight enough to play for you.

And my brain is itching about what I am going to be able to write for any new music and dig up out of our catalogue now!!! I said something to Shawn about LDTC, TSBTS, and maybe even 'Black Friday' again for grins. Please don't take this as me getting ready to start a new album. I am not interested in doing any recordings for anyone right now and will notify the company when I am ready.

So lets go back a few days . . .

I did a commercial for Affliction Clothing last week and it was the coolest thing. The owners of the company manufactured an Affliction Signature Series shirt for Megadeth and it is killer!

Anyway, I got to the shoot and there were two young hot-shot baseball players, world-class surfer Sunny Garcia, and the UFC fighter who defeated Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell twice, the Champ! RAMPAGE!

I though he was one of the kewlest dudes in the world. Pam talked to his manager about faith and I talked to him about fighting and getting a guitar to his young son. Being old now, I get my kicks watching the young braves compete for warrior status and once you are in the presence of a real warrior, you know it. But to be in the presence of a Champion is awe-inspiring!

I think that RAMPAGE'S son playing DEAN guitar has a nice ring to it?

There was also one of my favourite UFC fighters Georges St. Pierre or GSP as he is casually referred to. After that, I was overwhelmed: Stone Cold Steve Austin in a Megadeth shirt for his segment, more fighters, more musicians . . . I was reeling! And to top THAT off, the company came down to my house yesterday, did a complete photo shoot and filmed interview of all of us for the band and for Affliction Clothing.

Affliction are going to be having a contest on their site to win those autographed Megadeth Sig Series Affliction shirts that were signed by all four band members, and some other gear at their site.

Now, personally for me, this is the most gratifying part of the post today. I know, how could anything be better than any "one" of those things above? Stars, jamming, commercials, it's too much!!! Well, read on with your hearts open . . . and to the haters . . . please read this (even you c*cksuckers will appreciate this).

Thanks to all of you buying Legends Cup Coffee, particularly the Dave Mustaine Blend, we are going to be having a coffee tasting party at my house with Bill Goldberg tomorrow to decide which blend he likes and Bill and Legends are considering having his own blend too.

We do have a new celebrity for Legends Cup Coffee and it is a pleasure to be working with Charlie Benante. We all know what a coffee connoisseur Charlie is. Maybe Charlie's coffee tasting party can be an event at L'Amours or something old school and I could fly in with the owners and serve coffee to you guys. (What does ANTHRAX call the fans?) Anyway, now for the best part of the day!

Drum roll please . . .

Due to the Dave Mustaine Coffee drinkers faithful purchases, the consistent promotion that you guys are doing for me on a grassroots, and organic kinda "word of mouth" campaign of this product for me, and the commitment that we made to you customers (I'd like to call you my morning Droogs) we are going to be able to buy a new water pump for the well at the orphanage "The Door Of Faith" we currently selected as our charity for January! Once the companies webmaster can get caught up with the site we will be able to tell you more about the charity ourselves, but you can get info here: www.dofo.org

That is right. You drinking Dave Mustaine coffee at home and away has just made it possible for us to deliver water to these children. This is vital for cooking, cleaning and everyday life. Right now I am hearing "Its a beautiful Morning" in my head. I know it is an old song, but it fits how great you all have made me feel by doing this for these poor orphans.

That has got to make you feel good guys! God Bless You All for this!!

I would say drink more and tell more people about this, but I won't. We are doing great and I love you for everything that you have done. Hey, if you feel like telling your friends to come over for a cup of Dave, and wanna hop on the boards here, I ain't gonna stop ya!

We are going to be showing updates and developments of the installation of the well.

And now for something completely different . . .

I have to start getting packed for our trip and I asked the guys last night if the show in Finland is sold out, would they be open to have some select fans drop by for our last night's rehearsal? I think we are rehearsing in a small studio somewhere, and we may be able to invite some of you in ahead of time.

It would be great to get all the press in there at once too, but I am sure too many people would be tempted to kill em all if they were in one place.

So, that is it, please check out the DEAN website for my DEAN guitars and many other ripping models (Elliot I am so sorry for your loss of your Oma), to the NAMM show exhibitors that I will be visiting next year, to the worriers about whether we were going to be able to pull it off - watch me!, and to all of you faithful loyal Droogies, this is going to be a Heavy Metal Year. Even if I am the last one in the world playing it, I am going to keep playing Metal.

So look for us on our European Tour/Gigantour.2008.UK/European Tour/Gigantour.2008.NA and whatever else stands in my path!

Now, git!"
