According to Sys-con.com, Royal Underground, the hottest new men's and women's clothing line co-created by rock musician Nikki Sixx (MÖTLEY CRÜE, SIXX: A.M.) and fashion icon Kelly Gray, recently participated as a sponsor at the 2008 Sundance project: The Green Lodge.

Royal Underground is a high-end men's and women's clothing line that was started in late 2006 by Nikki Sixx and Kelly Gray. The line consists of various pieces ranging from cashmere shirts and hoodies, to cotton t-shirts, jeans and leather jackets.

Gray, whose parents founded St. John in 1962, worked her way up the ladder at the company to become CEO and creative director, giving the durable knits brand an urban, modern vibe while quadrupling its gross earnings to $400 million per year before leaving the company in 2005 to pursue other challenges. Sixx is co-founder of Mötley Crüe, a band which has sold well over 40 million albums worldwide, whose reunion tour, Carnival Of Sins became the sixth-highest grossing concert tour of last year. His work remains as fresh and inventive as the day he first began his business.

The label, currently in its sixth season for men's and second season for women's, found much praise while participating in The Green Lodge gifting suite during the Sundance festivities. Outfitting filmmakers, actors, musicians and media professionals with exclusive pieces such as cashmere hoodies and rockin' leather jackets, the brand Royal Underground could be seen all along the streets of Park City, Utah. Many celebrities left The Green Lodge wearing their new Royal Underground gear instead of the clothes they had arrived in.
