Ride For Dime Presents Little Kids Rock Dallas Chapter With $10,000 Cheque

On January 25th and 26th, a two-day teachers workshop marked the official opening of the Little Kids Rock Dallas Chapter in honor of the late great "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.
Officials from Ride For Dime were on hand to present Executive Director David Wish of Little Kids Rock a cheque for $10,000 which will go towards the purchase of guitars for the kids.
Ride For Dime raised the money from their annual remembrance ride and concert in Arlington, Texas and Philadelphia, Pa. Response from the teachers in the Dallas Independent School District has been overwhelming.
"We are so excited (individually and collectively!) and look forward to a wonderful relationship benefiting Dallas students", said one school district official.Allison Hicks, an elementary music teacher said, "I can't think of a better way to remember Darrell... I'm sure he's grinning ear to ear."
The teachers were given a big surprise at the end of the two day workshop when they discovered they would each be receiving a Dean ML guitar and a Marshall amp courtesy of Dean Guitars and Hot Topics.
