Report: Rock In Rio Reorganized To Accommodate METALLICA And Avoid Football Clash

Portugal News has issued the following report:

New dates for what is the biggest rock concert on earth were released this week, changed to ensure no concerts fell on the same day as the Portuguese national team matches in the Euro 2008 championship, as well as making sure rock's ultimate band, METALLICA, could grace the stage.

Rock in Rio will now take place on May 30th and 31st, June 1st, June 5th and 6th.

Playing on June 5th, the only date free in their hectic agendas, heavy metal heavyweights Metallica will be one of the event's high-points. Also confirmed are LENNY KRAVITZ, ALEJANDRO SANZ, IVETE SANGALO and MACHINE HEAD.

Other international artists will be confirmed soon.
