BW&BK; has received the following press release:
The latest progressive metal act to explode out of the burgeoning Canadian music scene, Toronto’s Alpha Galates show no signs of slowing down on the eve of the release of the band’s crushing debut album A Stimulus For Reason (due out February 19th via EMI Music Canada).
And now, the fierce prog-metal five-piece – led by singer/drummer Matthew Von Wagner and borne from the ashes of THE HOLLOW (as they were known in their native Calgary before re-locating to Toronto and adopting a new moniker) – have yet another notch to add to their collective belt…a nod from one of the undisputed legends of heavy metal, Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.
“TOOL fans, pick up your ears…A Stimulus For Reason is a real eye and ear opener!” commented Dickinson recently during a pre-recorded taping of his weekly Rock Show program on BBC Radio 6. Dickinson went on to talk about the band for several minutes before premiering ‘2 Months In’ from Alpha Galates’ upcoming debut.
Alpha Galates fans can tune in to hear the entire segment tonight (Friday, February 8) at 5pm EST / 10pm GMT on Bruce Dickinson’s Rock Show on BBC Radio 6. Click here to stream online.
