WOODS OF YPRES Founder Comments On Record Four Weeks As #1 Top Seller At The End Records

BW&BK; recently caught up with WOODS OF YPRES frontman/founder David Gold, who commented on the band's record four weeks as the #1 top seller at The End Records with their new album, Deepest Roots And Darkest Blues:
"We're obviously happy, but honestly not too surprised! I don't know if any indie band has ever reached #1 at The End for one week, let alone maintaining it for at least four in a row (and counting), but it makes sense to us for Woods to be the first band to do it. This kind of a response sure didn't come overnight so we are definitely proud of what we've done during these past five years to get people interested in what we're doing while building our loyal (and growing) listener base. And, this is all without a label, or a tour and before any of the big press happens for our new album. It's a great feeling to see that much interest in our new slab of black and doom! Plus, the response to material of the new album has been nothing short of totally satisfying. People are liking it more and more as it grows on them. I can't wait to see what happens next!
