MÖTLEY CRÜE To Release The Dirt In July

According to The Pulse Of Radio, sources close to MÖTLEY CRÜE say the band has set a July 8th release date for their ninth studio album, The Dirt. The first single from the new album is expected to impact radio on May 7th.
The new album is based on The Dirt: Confessions Of The World's Most Notorious Rock Band, the 448-page tome which catalogues the drug and alcohol abuse, nasty infighting, and sex parties of Vince Neil Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx.
A film version of the book is expected to be released this year by Paramount and MTV. It's been billed as a true-life version of This Is Spinal Tap.
Mötley Crüe was formed in 1981 and, as one of the best-selling hard rock heavy metal acts, have sold 50-million albums worldwide.
