Canadian hyper-blasters, KATAKLYSM, will be filming a video for the track 'Taking the World By Storm' in New York this weekend. The clip is to be directed by David Brodsky (GOD FORBID, GWAR, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and is taken from their anticipated upcoming album Prevail.

Kataklysm recently unveiled the cover artwork for Prevail - the band decided to "immortalize" the character that was featured on the cover of their last CD, In The Arms Of Devastation, and have him re-appear as the main character - dubbed The Heartbeast - on Prevail.

Prevail was mixed at AudioHammer Studios in Orlando, Florida with producer Jason Suecof and is scheduled for release via Nuclear Blast Records on May 23 (Europe) and May 27 (North America). The CD will feature guest solo appearances by Pat O'Brien (CANNIBAL CORPSE), Dave Linsk (OVERKILL) and producer and guitar shredder Jason Suecof himself. The band promises "a monstrous album that will pummel you from start to finish." Look for a brand new track to be debuted on the band’s MySpace page in the coming months.

Prevail tracklisting: 'Prevail', 'Taking The World By Storm', 'The Chains of Power', 'As Death Lingers', 'Blood In Heaven', 'To The Throne of Sorrow', 'Breathe To Dominate', 'Tear Down The Kingdom', 'The Vultures Are Watching', 'The Last Effort (Renaissance II)' (instrumental).
