According to Wpri.com, the man who set off the pyrotechnics that sparked a nightclub fire in 2003 that killed 100 people will be released from prison on March 19.

Daniel Biechele (BEEK'-lee) has been at the state prison since May 2006 for his role in the fire at The Station nightclub in West Warwick.

The former tour manager of the 1980s rock band GREAT WHITE pleaded guilty to 100 counts of involuntary manslaughter. Eight of the victims lived or worked in Connecticut.

Kim Avedisian, the parole coordinator for the state Department of Corrections, said Tuesday that there's no schedule for exactly when Biechele will be released on March 19.

Biechele was sentenced to four years in prison. But in the fall the parole board decided to release him in March, though it didn't set a specific date.
