Boston power metallers MELIAH RAGE are currently hard at work in the studio on their next release, tentatively due to hit stores this summer on Screaming Ferret Wreckords. The band are holed up at Red Devil Recording in Stoughton, MA with Rich Spillberg (former WARGASM guitarist) handling the production duties alongside Meliah Rage mainman Anthony Nichols.

"As some of you might know we recently parted ways with vocalist Paul Souza," says Nichols in an update sent to BW&BK.; "The only reason for the split is that Paul's schedule makes it difficult for him to tour. We are presently working on a new record and have plans for some summer 2008 touring. Anyone interesed in the position can contact us thru our MySpace page or via our website
. If you have already sent an email feel free to try again as we might have missed a few in the shuffle."

Meliah Rage recently flew in METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe in to lay down vocals on 'Last Rites', "one of many tunes on the new slab that lean toward Meliah's thrashier roots, which is sure to please hardcore fans and garner the band some new listeners in the process," according to a previous band update.
