STEVE LUKATHER Pays Tribute To "My Brother JEFF HEALEY"

As previously reported, Canadian blues guitarist Jeff Healey passed away on Sunday, March 2nd following his lifelong battle with cancer. He was 41. TOTO's Steve Lukather, a close friend of Healey's, issued the following statement on March 3rd:
"I got the news this morning. I spoke to him YESTERDAY! I got to say everything I wanted to and even made him laugh. We have been dear pals for many years. I loved him very much. I am gutted to say the least. I knew he was real sick with cancer again but I think everyone was praying for a miracle.Well, I do know that he is in Heaven, out of pain, and I am quite sure he will be jammin' with the best of them. I will miss him and was honored to have known him, played with him and laughed real hard with him. A giant of a musician and even a bigger heart!
His love and music will live forever..."
