DESTINY To Enter Studio Tomorrow; Still Seeking Singer
March 7, 2008, 16 years ago
Swedish power metallers DESTINY have issued the following update:
"On March 8th, Destiny enters the studio to record the band's seventh album. After endless delays it’s finally time for the Gothenburg-based band, who also celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, to finally record its new album. The production was planed to be handled by Ken Olsson whom also was involved with the bands debut Beyond All Sense (1985) and Nothing Left To Fear (1991). However he will not be involved with the initial recordings as he is not available at the moment. At this time it’s unclear if he will be involved later on during the final recording and mixing of the album.
The album will feature a total of nine brand new songs who probably more than ever before captures the bands self named style of Mörkrock (dark rock).
So far only the music is composed and ready to be recorded. The band will not complete the lyrics and melody lines until a new vocalist is recruited.
So far quite a few promising vocalists have tried out for the position. A final audition will take place when all but the vocals for the new album has been recorded.
We will be very careful to choose a vocalist with a strong voice that suits the new music well. It will also be of great importance the he will have a good personality that works well with the rest of the band, according to band leader Stefan Björnshög.
Any one that is interested in the position as lead singer for Destiny should contact the band via info@destinymetal.com.
Today’s line up of Destiny features Stefan Björnshög on bass, Birger Löfman on the drums and Micke Åberg on guitar."
