hot flashes news portrait

On April 3rd, Iron Kodex will release the debut album by Sweden’s headbanging hopefuls PORTRAIT at a release party on the eve of the Keep It True X festival near Lauda-Königshofen.

Expect a ferocious attack of mischievous traditional metal with neckbreaking riffs, fantastic twin guitars and insane vocals in the best tradition of MERCYFUL FATE, WITCH CROSS and IRON MAIDEN.

Now you have the chance to win a copy of the new album AND one ultra rare die-hard copy of Portrait’s 'Into The Nothingness' single, numbered in human blood and signed by the band. Only 100 copies were made.

All you have to do is to give the right answers to the following three questions:

1) The first live show by Portrait took place in June 2006 in a pub called Dallas. What is the name of the Swedish town, where this first gig was played?

2) In 2007 Portrait released a 7" on New Iron Age Records. What was the special thing about the first 100 copies of the single?

3) On April 3rd 2008 Portrait will release their debut album at a release party on the eve of Keep It True X festival. What is the title of the album?

Send your answers (along with your name and adress) to: ironkodex@aol.com

The winner will not only get one ultra-rare die-hard copy of Portrait’s 'Into The Nothingness' single on black vinyl, numbered in blood and signed by the band (limited to 100 copies), but also one die-hard copy of the new album including a patch (limited to 100). 2nd place will receive a regular copy of the single, signed by the band (limited to 425 copies). 3rd place will receive a regular copy of the new album, signed by
