CHILDREN OF BODOM - Report And Pictures From London Signing Session And Astoria Show Available

As previously reported, CHILDREN OF BODOM held a signing session on Saturday, March 8th at the Zavvi CD shop in London, England to promote their forthcoming album, Blooddrunk, prior to their sold out show at the Astoria. The band's official fan site Scythes Of Bodom has issued a report on both events. The following is an excerpt:
"The long ago sold out show drew a lot of national and worldwide interest amongst fans and media as it was one of two chances to see the band in Europe before the summer festival season. The tickets, which cost 16.50 GBP, were fought for so intensely that they were successfully re-sold (by scalpers) to desperate fans for ridiculous prices as high as 40 - 80 GBP both online and outside the venue.Before the show the band pulled in approximately the same number of people as to the show itself (Astoria's capacity is about 2,000) across the street at Zaavi Oxford Street, one of Europe's biggest CD stores, for a two hour signing session. A few hours before the band showed up, an army of Zaavi security crew had organized several hundred fans into a seemingly endless line that curved between the CD stalls from one floor to another..."

Blooddrunk is now available for pre-order at JSR Direct until April 1st. The regular CD edition and CD / DVD Special Edition are both available, as well as special packages including a Blooddrunk shirt and/or instructional DVDs featuring frontman Alexi Laiho.
