Portugal's MOONSPELL have issued the following update:

"There is finally a release date confirmed for Night Eternal, the new Moonspell album.

In Europe: May 19th (in some countries the date may vary one or two days according to the distributors’ schedules) and in the USA on June 10th.

We will inform you of any particular release dates in other territories as soon as we know them ourselves.

There will be, at first, two editions of the record. A limited double digipack with different artwork, one bonus song ('Age Of Mothers'), a different version of the song 'Scorpion Flower', the full album as well as a bonus DVD containing all video clips from Memorial plus 'Finisterra' "making of" and three live clips from last year’s performance at the Wacken Open Air.

The other edition is the jewel case edition to which we hope to add at least another bonus song and are dealing with SPV as we speak.

The full tracklist of the album shall be for all editions: 'At Tragic Heights', 'Night Eternal', 'Shadow Sun', 'Scorpion Flower', 'Moon In Mercury', 'Hers Is The Twilight', 'Dreamless (Lucifer And Lilith)', 'Spring Of Rage' and 'First Light'.

Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-THE GATHERING), now from AGUA DE ANNIQUE, is our special guest on 'Scorpion Flower'. She performed the duet with Fernando on that song. All other female choirs were performed by the Crystal Mountain Singers who are composed by Carmen Simões (AVA INFERI), Sophia Vieira (CINEMERTE) and Patrícia Andrade (ex-VOLSTAD, now THE VANITY CHAIR).

Further guests include our old time friend Niclas Etelävuori (AMORPHIS) who recorded bass on the album. The artwork was conceived by Seth Siro Anton (PARADISE LOST, SEPTIC FLESH, etc.) and the band was photographed by Edgar Keats.

There is already an exclusive preview of two songs at www.myspace.com/moonspell.

The videos for these tracks will be recorded by Ivan Colic (TYPE O NEGATIVE, SYMPHONY X, HAMMRFALL) in Belgrade, Serbia just like Memorial’s video for 'Finisterra'.

Festivals are now being confirmed on a weekly basis and we look forward to start playing and for a great summer in the your company, the best we can have."
