The management team of Irving Azoff and Andy Gould have commented on inking a new deal with Axl Rose and GUNS N' ROSES: "Axl Rose and Guns N Roses is and will always be one of the most important recording and touring artists of our time, and one of the great rock n roll voices for his generation. We are honored that Axl has placed his trust in us."

According to Billboard.biz, GN'R and Rose were previously managed by Merck Mercuriadis. Rose revealed the split with Mercuriadis in a December 2006 online posting, citing disagreements over the set up for GNR’s long-awaited album Chinese Democracy. There’s still no official word on when the decade-in-the-works Chinese Democracy will see the light of day.

Chinese Democracy was most recently scheduled for release on March 6, 2007, but promptly vanished from the schedule without a new date being set. It will be the first Guns N’ Roses album since the 1993 covers collection The Spaghetti Incident; in the ensuing decade, the group has burned through a reported $13 million in recording expenses.
