Deb Rao recently spoke to WARRANT's Erik Turner for Saviours Of Rock about the recently announced reunion of the original band line-up. The following is an excerpt from the interview

Q: In our last interview you said never say never when I asked about a possible Warrant reunion with Jani Lane (vocals). Here we are in 2008. Who was instrumental in making the first phone call?

Turner: "I made the first phone call, it was my turn. Jani called me in '93 I believe saying he wanted to come back to the band."

Q: Is the band currently in rehearsal? How does it feel to be playing with Jani again?

Turner: "We have only rehearsed once, but it was very cool and surreal. We will be jamming more often now as the tour dates are coming in."

Q: What were your initial thoughts when the thought of the reunion was being tossed around? Did you feel that it was the right time and place to bring the original line-up back on the music scene?

Turner: "My initial thoughts were give Jani a call and see what happens. I'm still seeing what happens as we go along into the summer. It's great having the five of us back together!"

Q: Does it feel kind of like déjà-vu all over again? Would you say all the pieces of the puzzle fit back perfectly again and the chemistry remains intact?

Turner: "It feels right and all the parts are there, we just need to get out and play live! 'Down Boys' was the first song we played at rehearsal and I got chills hearing Warrant for the first time in so many fucking years. Wow, this is what we are supposed to sound like."
