Century Media Records reports:

"The Greek metal phenomenon FIREWIND, led by the young guitar sensation Gus G. (ex-ex-DREAM EVIL, NIGHTRAGE, MYSTIC PROPHECY, ARCH ENEMY), has returned with The Premonition, which is easily their defining moment.

The offering is now available and a new video for the track 'Mercenary Man' was recently shot by acclaimed director Patric Ullaeus (DIMMU BORGIR, IN FLAMES). The video made its exclusive online debut through the Headbangers Ball Blog today and premieres on MTV2 this Saturday night. Click here to check it out now.

Gus G. states: “The video for ‘Mercenary Man’ is the third clip we shot with Patric Ullaeus. It was a great feeling going back to Sweden and working with him. When it comes to the visuals, he's our man. When I think of who could make us look like a million dollars, I think of Patric.

We basically did a couple of day's worth of shooting in his studio in Gothenburg and then he worked his magic in the editing process. I love the band editing and the fact that he gave such a crystal clear look to this video. Since the song is talking about a mercenary going out to war, the story evolves around a soldier and includes some pretty incredible footage of fighting jets, helicopters and tanks. We hope you like it.”

Firewind will make their return to North America in May on the Tyranny and Bloodshred Tour '08, which could be hailed as one of the best guitar-shredder packages of the year. This crushing headlining trek kicks off on May 10th and also features labelmates ARCH ENEMY, DARK TRANQUILLITY and DIVINE HERESY.
